President / CEO
With over 20 years of experience in the Healthcare Staffing industry, Jack brings a wealth of knowledge on running a successful staffing agency. Over the past 10 years Jacks been a lab with a pen and pad quietly trying to come with a platform that truly unifies Facilities, Vendors and Candidates. His passion for building software, along with his determination to re-connect agencies directly with client facilities, gave birth to Expedient. Throughout his career, he’s always been a troubleshooter and problem solver. At the height of the dot.com he was part of international software development team that built large scale Enterprise systems in healthcare, finance, e-commerce and several other industries. He was ultimately promoted to VP of Technology for a NASDAQ traded software development company with 1,500 developers working in over 10 countries. After the bubble burst, he took his talents to the Healthcare Staffing industry to help solve the staffing shortage. After running a successful staffing agency for nearly 15 years providing clinicians to the some most prestigious healthcare facilities in California, trouble came to town by way of the Managed Staffing Provider (MSP). At first they seemed to have a great system. They promised ease of access to several facilities, quick onboarding and placement, consolidated time and invoicing, compliance and reports. What the industry ended up with were large 800lb Gorillas, putting the small – med sized agencies seemingly out of business. They created unfair competitive environment and placed such an unnecessary burden on agencies, that many were not able to compete. The “partnerships” turned into agencies becoming second and third tier staffing sources, while most of the assignments were being filled by the MSP itself. Seeing this becoming more prevalent in the industry, Jack decided he needed to do something. Expedient was created to re-connect Agencies directly with the facilities that rely on them without the threat of clinicians being “blocked” or mysteriously working for the MSP. Jack created an open network that brings the most important components of the staffing industry together that’s fair, transparent, enticing, modern, easy to use and creates a WIN, WIN, WIN situation.
